As you may know, to make a forum successful, it really need to have a unique "selling" point to help attract people to the forum. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to post them here, and I will see if its possible to implement it in some way.

Im thinking of creating some type of forum game using points. I can enable a points system, which gives a certain amount of points per post and thread. You could then use the points as part of the game.
I am yet to think of what the game could be though, if anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

I agree on the unique selling point being required but can't think of any ideas right now

you could post a new video every day/week on the landing/portal page

i've seen a couple of forum's with arcade sections where the members could play games and the scores are recoded under your forum username, with leaderboards for each idividual game and an overall leaderboard.
the only issue i can think of with your points per post/ thread idea is that it could encourage spam posting in order to get the points up.

Im looking at bringing in some games, I am testing them right now. Im not sure how to implement a leaderboard system though. I will look around and see if I can find any suggestions
